पराचीनं बर्हिः परदिशा पर्थिव्या वस्तोरस्या वर्ज्यतेग्रे अह्नाम | वयु परथते वितरं वरीयो देवेभ्यो अदितयेस्योनम

prācīnaṃ barhiḥ pradiśā pṛthivyā vastorasyā vṛjyateaghre ahnām | vyu prathate vitaraṃ varīyo devebhyo aditayesyonam

English Translation (Griffith)

By rule the Sacred Grass is scattered eastward, a robe to clothe this earth when dawns are breaking. Widely it spreads around and far-extended, fair for the Gods and bringing peace and freedom.
