Rig Veda 10.103.1
आशुः शिशानो वर्षभो न भीमो घनाघनः कषोभणश्चर्षणीनाम | संक्रन्दनो.अनिमिष एकवीरः शतं सेनाजयत साकमिन्द्रः
āśuḥ śiśāno vṛṣabho na bhīmo ghanāghanaḥ kṣobhaṇaścarṣaṇīnām | saṃkrandano.animiṣa ekavīraḥ śataṃ senāajayat sākamindraḥ
Rig Veda 10.103.2
संक्रन्दनेनानिमिषेण जिष्णुना युत्कारेण दुश्च्यवनेनध्र्ष्णुना | तदिन्द्रेण जयत तत सहध्वं युधो नरैषुहस्तेन वर्ष्णा
saṃkrandanenānimiṣeṇa jiṣṇunā yutkāreṇa duścyavanenadhṛṣṇunā | tadindreṇa jayata tat sahadhvaṃ yudho naraiṣuhastena vṛṣṇā
With him loud-roaring, ever watchful, Victor, bold, hard to overthrow, Rouser of battle, Indra. the Strong, whose hand bears arrows, conquer, ye warriors, now, now vanquish in the combat.
Rig Veda 10.103.3
स इषुहस्तैः स निषङगिभिर्वशी संस्रष्टा स युधैन्द्रो गणेन | संस्र्ष्टजित सोमपा बाहुशर्ध्युग्रधन्वाप्रतिहिताभिरस्ता
sa iṣuhastaiḥ sa niṣaṅghibhirvaśī saṃsraṣṭā sa yudhaindro ghaṇena | saṃsṛṣṭajit somapā bāhuśardhyughradhanvāpratihitābhirastā
He rules with those who carry shafts and quivers, Indra who with his band rings hosts together, Foe-conquering, strong of arm, the Soma-drinker, with mighty bow, shooting with well-laid arrows.
Rig Veda 10.103.4
बर्हस्पते परि दीया रथेन रक्षोहामित्रानपबाधमानः | परभञ्जन सेनाः परम्र्णो युधा जयन्नस्माकमेध्यविता रथानाम
bṛhaspate pari dīyā rathena rakṣohāmitrānapabādhamānaḥ | prabhañjan senāḥ pramṛṇo yudhā jayannasmākamedhyavitā rathānām
Bṛhaspati, fly with thy chariot hither, slayer of demons, driving off our foemen. Be thou protector of our cars, destroyer, victor in battle, breaker-up of armies.
Rig Veda 10.103.5
बलविज्ञाय सथविरः परवीरः सहस्वान वाजी सहमानौग्रः | अभिवीरो अभिसत्वा सहोजा जैत्रमिन्द्र रथमातिष्ठ गोवित
balavijñāya sthaviraḥ pravīraḥ sahasvān vājī sahamānaughraḥ | abhivīro abhisatvā sahojā jaitramindra rathamātiṣṭha ghovit
Conspicuous by thy strength, firm, foremost fighter, mighty and fierce, victorious, all-subduing, The Son of Conquest, passing men and heroes, kine-winner, mount thy conquering car, O Indra.
Rig Veda 10.103.6
गोत्रभिदं गोविदं वज्रबाहुं जयन्तमज्म परम्र्णन्तमोजसा | इमं सजाता अनु वीरयध्वमिन्द्रं सखायो अनुसं रभध्वम
ghotrabhidaṃ ghovidaṃ vajrabāhuṃ jayantamajma pramṛṇantamojasā | imaṃ sajātā anu vīrayadhvamindraṃ sakhāyo anusaṃ rabhadhvam
Cleaver of stalls, kine-winner, armed with thunder, who quells an army and with might destroys it.- Follow him, brothers! quit yourselves like heroes, and like this Indra show your zeal and courage.
Rig Veda 10.103.7
अभि गोत्राणि सहसा गाहमानो.अदयो वीरः शतमन्युरिन्द्रः | दुश्च्यवनः पर्तनाषाळ अयुध्यो.अस्माकं सेनावतु पर युत्सु
abhi ghotrāṇi sahasā ghāhamāno.adayo vīraḥ śatamanyurindraḥ | duścyavanaḥ pṛtanāṣāḷ ayudhyo.asmākaṃ senāavatu pra yutsu
Piercing the cow-stalls with surpassing vigour, Indra, the pitiless Hero, wild with anger, Victor in fight, unshaken and resistless,may he protect our armies in our battles.
Rig Veda 10.103.8
इन्द्र आसां नेता बर्हस्पतिर्दक्षिणा यज्ञः पुर एतुसोमः | देवसेनानामभिभञ्जतीनां जयन्तीनां मरुतोयन्त्वग्रम
indra āsāṃ netā bṛhaspatirdakṣiṇā yajñaḥ pura etusomaḥ | devasenānāmabhibhañjatīnāṃ jayantīnāṃ marutoyantvaghram
Indra guide these: Bṛhaspati precede them, the guerdon, and the sacrifice, and Soma; And let the banded Maruts march in forefront of heavenly hosts that conquer and demolish.
Rig Veda 10.103.9
इन्द्रस्य वर्ष्णो वरुणस्य राज्ञ आदित्यानां मरुतांशर्ध उग्रम | महामनसां भुवनच्यवानां घोषोदेवानां जयतामुदस्थात
indrasya vṛṣṇo varuṇasya rājña ādityānāṃ marutāṃśardha ughram | mahāmanasāṃ bhuvanacyavānāṃ ghoṣodevānāṃ jayatāmudasthāt
Ours be the potent host of mighty Indra, King Varuṇa, and Maruts, and Ādityas. Uplifted is the shout of Gods who conquer high-minded Gods who cause the worlds to tremble.
Rig Veda 10.103.10
उद धर्षय मघवन्नायुधान्युत सत्वनां मामकानाम्मनांसि | उद वर्त्रहन वाजिनां वाजिनान्युद रथानांजयतां यन्तु घोषाः
ud dharṣaya maghavannāyudhānyut satvanāṃ māmakānāmmanāṃsi | ud vṛtrahan vājināṃ vājinānyud rathānāṃjayatāṃ yantu ghoṣāḥ
Bristle thou up, O Maghavan, our weapons: excite the spirits of my warring heroes. Urge on the strong steeds' might, O Vṛtra-slayer, and let the din of conquering cars go upward.
Rig Veda 10.103.11
अस्माकमिन्द्रः सम्र्तेषु धवजेष्वस्माकं या इषवस्ताजयन्तु | अस्माकं वीरा उत्तरे भवन्त्वस्मानु देवा अवताहवेषु
asmākamindraḥ samṛteṣu dhvajeṣvasmākaṃ yā iṣavastājayantu | asmākaṃ vīrā uttare bhavantvasmānu devā avatāhaveṣu
May Indra aid us when our flags are gathered: victorious be the arrows of our army. May our brave men of war prevail in battle. Ye Gods, protect us in the shout of onset.
Rig Veda 10.103.12
अमीषां चित्तं परतिलोभयन्ती गर्हाणाङगान्यप्वे परेहि | अभि परेहि निर्दह हर्त्सु शोकैरन्धेनामित्रास्तमसासचन्ताम
amīṣāṃ cittaṃ pratilobhayantī ghṛhāṇāṅghānyapve parehi | abhi prehi nirdaha hṛtsu śokairandhenāmitrāstamasāsacantām
Bewildering the senses of our foemen, seize thou their bodies and depart, O Apva. Attack them, set their hearts on fire and burn them: so let our foes abide in utter darkness.
Rig Veda 10.103.13
परेता जयता नर इन्द्रो वः शर्म यछतु | उग्रा वः सन्तुबाहवो.अनाध्र्ष्या यथासथ
pretā jayatā nara indro vaḥ śarma yachatu | ughrā vaḥ santubāhavo.anādhṛṣyā yathāsatha
Advance, O heroes, win the day. May Indra be your sure defence. Exceeding mighty be your arms, that none may wound or injure you.
