Rig Veda 1.103.1
तत त इन्द्रियं परमं पराचैरधारयन्त कवयः पुरेदम | कषमेदमन्यद दिव्यन्यदस्य समी पर्च्यते समनेव केतुः
tat ta indriyaṃ paramaṃ parācairadhārayanta kavayaḥ puredam | kṣamedamanyad divyanyadasya samī pṛcyate samaneva ketuḥ
Rig Veda 1.103.2
स धारयत पर्थिवीं पप्रथच्च वज्रेण हत्वा निरपः ससर्ज | अहन्नहिमभिनद रौहिणं वयहन वयंसं मघवा शचीभिः
sa dhārayat pṛthivīṃ paprathacca vajreṇa hatvā nirapaḥ sasarja | ahannahimabhinad rauhiṇaṃ vyahan vyaṃsaṃ maghavā śacībhiḥ
He spread the wide earth out and firmly fixed it, smote with his thunderbolt and loosed the waters. Maghavan with his puissance struck down Ahi, rent Rauhiṇa to death and slaughtered Vyaṁsa.
Rig Veda 1.103.3
स जातूभर्मा शरद्दधान ओजः पुरो विभिन्दन्नचरद विदासीः | विद्वान वज्रिन दस्यवे हेतिमस्यार्यं सहो वर्धया दयुम्नमिन्द्र
sa jātūbharmā śraddadhāna ojaḥ puro vibhindannacarad vidāsīḥ | vidvān vajrin dasyave hetimasyāryaṃ saho vardhayā dyumnamindra
Armed with his bolt and trusting in his prowess he wandered shattering the forts of Dāsas. Cast thy dart, knowing, Thunderer, at the Dasyu; increase the Ārya's might and glory, Indra.
Rig Veda 1.103.4
तदूचुषे मानुषेमा युगानि कीर्तेन्यं मघवा नाम बिभ्रत | उपप्रयन दस्युहत्याय वज्री यद ध सूनुः शरवसे नाम दधे
tadūcuṣe mānuṣemā yughāni kīrtenyaṃ maghavā nāma bibhrat | upaprayan dasyuhatyāya vajrī yad dha sūnuḥ śravase nāma dadhe
For him who thus hath taught these human races, Maghavan, bearing a fame-worthy title, Thunderer, drawing nigh to slay the Dasyus, hath given himself the name of Son for glory.
Rig Veda 1.103.5
तदस्येदं पश्यता भूरि पुष्टं शरदिन्द्रस्य धत्तन वीर्याय | स गा अविन्दत सो अविन्ददश्वान स ओषधीः सोपः स वनानि
tadasyedaṃ paśyatā bhūri puṣṭaṃ śradindrasya dhattana vīryāya | sa ghā avindat so avindadaśvān sa oṣadhīḥ soapaḥ sa vanāni
See this abundant wealth that he possesses, and put your trust in Indra's hero vigour. He found the cattle, and he found the horses, he found the plants, the forests and the waters.
Rig Veda 1.103.6
भुरिकर्मणे वर्षभाय वर्ष्णे सत्यशुष्माय सुनवाम सोमम | य आद्र्त्या परिपन्थीव शूरो.अयज्वनो विभजन्नेति वेदः
bhurikarmaṇe vṛṣabhāya vṛṣṇe satyaśuṣmāya sunavāma somam | ya ādṛtyā paripanthīva śūro.ayajvano vibhajanneti vedaḥ
To him the truly strong, whose deeds are many, to him the strong Bull let us pour the Soma. The Hero, watching like a thief in ambush, goes parting the possessions of the godless.
Rig Veda 1.103.7
तदिन्द्र परेव वीर्यं चकर्थ यत ससन्तं वज्रेणाबोधयो.अहिम | अनु तवा पत्नीर्ह्र्षितं वयश्च विश्वे देवासो अमदन्ननु तवा
tadindra preva vīryaṃ cakartha yat sasantaṃ vajreṇābodhayo.ahim | anu tvā patnīrhṛṣitaṃ vayaśca viśve devāso amadannanu tvā
Well didst thou do that hero deed, O Indra, in waking with thy bolt the slumbering Ahi. in thee, delighted, Dames divine rejoiced them, the flying Maruts and all Gods were joyful.
Rig Veda 1.103.8
शुष्णं पिप्रुं कुयवं वर्त्रमिन्द्र यदावधीर्वि पुरःशम्बरस्य | तन नो ...
śuṣṇaṃ pipruṃ kuyavaṃ vṛtramindra yadāvadhīrvi puraḥśambarasya | tan no ...
As thou hast smitten Śuṣṇa, Pipru, Vṛtra and Kuyava, and Śambara's forts , O Indra. This prayer of ours may Varuṇa grant, and Mitra, and Aditi and Sindhu, Earth and Heaven.
