शंसा मित्रस्य वरुणस्य धाम शुष्मो रोदसी बद्बधे महित्वा | अयन मासा अयज्वनामवीराः पर यज्ञमन्मा वर्जनं तिराते

śaṃsā mitrasya varuṇasya dhāma śuṣmo rodasī badbadhe mahitvā | ayan māsā ayajvanāmavīrāḥ pra yajñamanmā vṛjanaṃ tirāte

English Translation (Griffith)

I praise the strength of Varuṇa and Mitra that strength, by mightiness, keeps both worlds asunder. Heroless pass the months of the ungodly he who loves sacrifice makes his home enduring.
