आ सूर्यो अरुहच छुक्रम अर्णो ऽयुक्त यद धरितो वीतप्र्ष्ठाः | उद्ना न नावम अनयन्त धीरा आश्र्ण्वतीर आपो अर्वाग अतिष्ठन

ā sūryo aruhac chukram arṇo 'yukta yad dharito vītapṛṣṭhāḥ | udnā na nāvam anayanta dhīrā āśṛṇvatīr āpo arvāgh atiṣṭhan

English Translation (Griffith)

Sūrya hath mounted to the shining ocean when he hath yoked his fair-backed Tawny Horses. The wise have drawn him like a ship through water: the floods obedient have descended hither.
