तर्ष्टमेतत कटुकमेतदपाष्ठवद विषवन नैतदत्तवे | सूर्यां यो बरह्मा विद्यात स इद वाधूयमर्हति

tṛṣṭametat kaṭukametadapāṣṭhavad viṣavan naitadattave | sūryāṃ yo brahmā vidyāt sa id vādhūyamarhati

English Translation (Griffith)

Pungent is this, and bitter this, filled, as it were, with arrow-barbs, Empoisoned andṇot fit for use. The Brahman who knows Sūrya well deserves the garment of the bride.
