सपर्धन्ते वा उ देवहूये अत्र येषु धवजेषु दिद्यवः पतन्ति | युवं तानिन्द्रावरुणावमित्रान हतं पराचः शर्वा विषूचः

spardhante vā u devahūye atra yeṣu dhvajeṣu didyavaḥ patanti | yuvaṃ tānindrāvaruṇāvamitrān hataṃ parācaḥ śarvā viṣūcaḥ

English Translation (Griffith)

Here where the arrows fall amid the banners both hosts invoke the Gods in emulation. O Indra-Varuṇa, smite back those-our foemen,yea, smite them withyour shaft to every quarter.
