अहं राजा वरुणो मह्यं तान्य असुर्याणि परथमा धारयन्त | करतुं सचन्ते वरुणस्य देवा राजामि कर्ष्टेर उपमस्य वव्रेः

ahaṃ rājā varuṇo mahyaṃ tāny asuryāṇi prathamā dhārayanta | kratuṃ sacante varuṇasya devā rājāmi kṛṣṭer upamasya vavreḥ

English Translation (Griffith)

I am King Varuṇa. To me were given these first existing high celestial powers. Varuṇa's will the Gods obey and follow. I am the King of men's most lofty cover.
