तं शुभ्रमग्निमवसे हवामहे वैश्वानरं मातरिश्वानमुक्थ्यम | बर्हस्पतिं मनुषो देवतातये विप्रं शरोतारमतिथिं रघुष्यदम

taṃ śubhramaghnimavase havāmahe vaiśvānaraṃ mātariśvānamukthyam | bṛhaspatiṃ manuṣo devatātaye vipraṃ śrotāramatithiṃ raghuṣyadam
English Translation (Griffith)
That Agni, bright, Vaiśvānara, we invoke for help, and Mātariśvan worthy of the song of praise; Bṛhaspati for man's observance of the Gods, the Singer prompt to hear, the swiftly-moving guest.
