स वर्त्रहेन्द्रः कर्ष्णयोनीः पुरन्दरो दासीरैरयद वि | अजनयन मनवे कषामपश्च सत्रा शंसं यजमानस्य तूतोत

sa vṛtrahendraḥ kṛṣṇayonīḥ purandaro dāsīrairayad vi | ajanayan manave kṣāmapaśca satrā śaṃsaṃ yajamānasya tūtot

English Translation (Griffith)

Indra the Vṛtra-slayer, Fort-destroyer, scattered the Dāsa hosts who dwelt in darkness. For men hath he created earth and waters, and ever helped the prayer of him who worships.
